The mission of the Australian Functional Fitness Federation is to promote and grow the competitive functional fitness worldwide. Specifically, we aim to:
Display the highest level of professionalism at all times, including in the areas of athleticism, coaching, judging, and governance of the sport
Grow competitive functional fitness in size through a grass roots method of sport development
Ensure that as a Nation, we are in full communication with the iF3 and working towards a co-ordinated program of development of the sport for the good of the sport
Contribute to creating Centres of Excellence for the development of the sport
Enable coaches and athletes to focus solely on their craft and doing what they do best i.e. coaching and competing
The Australian Functional Fitness Federation (AFFF) is the national governing body for competitive functional fitness in Australia. AFFF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote and grow the functional fitness as a competitive sport in Australia. AFFF is an official member of the International Functional Fitness Federation. (iF3)
AFFF is responsible for creating rules, standards, and guidelines for governing competitive functional fitness in Australia, as well as creating competitive opportunities for athletes of all ages and ability levels. AFFF is focused not only on enhancing the competitive experience for the athletes but also for the judges, coaches, and spectators. AFFF is responsible for the creation of the functional fitness national team which will represent the Australia in the iF3 World Championships.
